We dined (lightly) at Sullivan's last night on a balmy (sorry mid-westerners) night in the bar. The entertainment, the Soul Brothers, were excellent and soft enough that we could talk and request songs too. In a Steinbeck mood we ordered a Wedge to start (East of Eden, Iceberg Lettuce, etc.) which was excellent and perfectly balanced with our Maker's Mark Manhattans (@ 6 dollars on happy hour). The place was packed as always but the food quality never varies. We've seen Gary Sinise, among others ther for dinner, at previous visits, so it is a good place for star gazing as well as steaks. During the happy hour (all night Thursday and Siunday, limited hours otherwise) all martini style drinks and bar food is priced at 6 dollars-nearly half off the regular price. Highly recommended for a quick bite, a few dance turns on the floor to Chuck Berry or Marvin Gaye songs, and a good time.
