i just phone just with my german friend. he have a very late arrival yesterday, and at midnight he get a free beer in the lounge from the marriott zurich, switzerland.
insider you know ather place where the lounge is open 24 hours.
It is nice to know that some Marriotts recognize there most loyal customer with 24 hour lounge service!!!
Did not know the CL was open 24/7!
Stayed there recently and it was the busiest CL, but efficient, as any I have seen. They really put out some very nice meals. With meals averaging about 4 times what they cost is the USA, this was a great savings.
The location is geared toward conventions, and the staff does a very good job at making you feel welcome. Here are some photo's of and around the hotel:
View from the room! Along with some great shopping and dining!
Great pictures Jerry..Thanks for posting them!!!

This hotel is within walking distance of the train station and shopping, if you like to walk. You can take a train from the airport to the train station as well and walk, if you do not have too many bags.

The Bar is Hemingway's at The Ritz, I stayed at Ren. Vendome, but is a short walk and well worth the experience.
Here are a couple of pictures from the Nice area! A very beautiful place as well!
The first is the Carlton Hotel, Nice. Featured in the Cary Grant movie, "To Catch a Thief".
The second is St. Tropez.France, a wonderful port city in France.
my home is 70 km from nice, and 35 km from st.tropez . i know very well.
the hotel in nice it is on the..... promenade des anglais?
Drove from St. Tropez to Montpelier, it was a great beautiful drive. Recognize this place in St. Tropez? It's on the square. Ever been across this famous bridge? Tallest bridge in the world, a credit to France. After crossing, drove to Euro Disney Marriott, with a small restocking stop (Wine) in Sancerre! I really enjoy the Loire area, wish there were some Marriott's there but nothing between Monte Carlo and Paris.
when you want go from paris to nice book on www.voyages-sncf.com. when you sure what date you want go
you can book 3 months in advance. the TGV ticket from 44 euros 2end classe and only 5 to 10 euro more for

Great info on the Zurich CL which is open 24 X 7!!!
More Zurich Threads!
There were people that I think stayed in the CL their whole stay at this Marriott.
The food was great, but I take things to my room.
People were eating there "Like they were going to the chair"!
Good one JC.
I am not kidding!
If you have ever been on a cruise ship where people eat ALL day, at the same table, this CL reminded me of that.
When I was in the Army, a First Sergeant, (NUHusker will relate to this), he screamed at us, "Eat and get out, this is not a bus stop"!
I guess I never forgot that, and like to enjoy my meal in my room!
you must be thinking of the Buffet on the cruise ship. While many folks like this, I am a main dining room person, which has very set hours, so no hanging about past the meal seating times.
Also, some cruise lines are trying out making individual tipping optional, so do not add it on to your bill at the end of the cruise, but instead you need to put cash in an envelope at the end of the cruise, and hand it out to each person. So many guests are eating in the buffet to avoid tipping the dining room wait staff. The dining rooms are empty, the menus limited. I have been avoiding these cruise lines. Its really a pain to get enough currency, stuff all the envelopes and then hand it out. Prefer they just add it on at the end.
I enjoy tipping, for a good meal, and I enjoy the dining rooms on ships!
JC, Me too! So I avoid the cruiselines that have policies that discourage this.
I also tend to take this to the room where I can relax and be comfortable.
At my recent stay at the RI though I noticed alot of folks coming to the breakfast room in PJs, I think I am just too old school for this, walking about inappropriately dressed.
Welcome to the "New world", thats why I avoid CL unless i am getting breakfast, I just cannot take the crowds/!
My recent stay at the MI in Somerset, there was not even room to sit due to the Hurricane, so I even took breakfast back to the room
