I have to announce.....after talking to Marriott today....my husband's account has reached Lifetime Platinum!...I am pretty dang excited! Great to have when nearing retirement!
Congrats, How long did it take?
Well...about 10 years of no business travel perks......just alot of time share purchases on the card and then staying at the timeshares...plus several other nights not on points and the added extra nights as bonuses! ...been watching for this to happen...but we have not received the updated members card in the mail or anything.
Do they still mail cards? I get mine on my phone via app.
I got my card about 2 months after I called inquiring of Lifetime Platinum status. I get no more cards or for that matter letters either!
Congrats on this achievement debbiebrown, enjoy.
The only reason they gave you Lifetime was so they could save the money on new cards - what you don't know is if you lose your card you must start over to qualify!!!
, really I have to start over? Kidding, I actually won't lose my card as it stays home as my Rewards number is always in the reservations as I make them all online.
We got our card of Lifetime in the mail yesterday! Feeling proud....or silly cuz of all we spent!...cuz it was not business travel!
yes it is and the timing was about what happened to me. I reached lifetime about six months before I reduced my travel . I would have gotten one more year of platinum . Great news and it is a nice perk
Hi Debbie, just a dumb question, why are we replying to a 2010 string?
If you are not used to a forum, you don't always check the date. It happens! Congrats Debbie!
Cuz it was pertinent to me now....yeah! pey
When arriving at a property I receive the standard greeting "thanks for being a plat etc etc etc" on a few occasions they mention Premier when acknowledging my status.
NEVER in my recollection has any property mentioned my "lifetime status". This leads me to believe that the "lifetime" label does not show up on their computer screen.
