Will hotel honor pre category-change rate? (Coronavirus related reservation modification)

Hi everyone,
We have family vacation at Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island planned for the week after Easter. This was booked with points before the category change (not a point advance reservation).
Now we are worried that because of the Coronavirus, we will need to rescedule the trip for a later dates. We really hate to reschedule since this is supposed to be a special birthday trip for our 5 yrs old, who has been having so many health issues and has been through a lot in the last few months. But with things the way they are now, we are afraid that we will have to reschedule. Better be safe than sorry. 
But, Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island moved up in category not long ago. If we modify that reservation, unfortunately, for the 5 nights, it will cost us another 200k points on top of the 300k on the original reservation. We simply don’t have the additional points. 
Do you think that there is any chance whatsoever for Marriott corporate or the hotel to waive the additional points requirement? Any suggestion on who I need to contact to discuss this? The hotel or the Titanium elite support?
