Looking for a good carry on luggage, backpack suitcase that I can put on my wedding registry. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. The caveat is all items must be allowed on a seaplane.
Why not call one of the seaplane operators such as https://www.kenmoreair.com/destinations/seattle/Seattle-Lake-Union/ and ask them or who ever it is that you're thinking of flying to make sure you get the right information? But here is some information I pulled from the Kenmoreair site:
Floatplane passengers are limited to 25 lbs. (11kg) total baggage weight per person, regardless of the number of bags.
All items are weighed and count toward the allowance — including hand-carry items such as purses, laptops, backpacks, etc.
No single item may exceed 50 linear inches (127cm) (length + width + height); this equates to a standard 10 in. x 16 in. x 24 in. (25cm x 41cm x 61cm) carry-on bag as permitted on the major airlines.
Good luck and congratulations on your approaching nuptials.
Thanks for the advice. I have messaged them to inquire.
We each have the Eddie Bauer Adventurer 30l backpack in black. We travel almost exclusively on Spirit in the U.S. with the backpack as our personal item - fits under the seat in front of us. C
Adventurer® 30l Pack | Eddie Bauer
Women's Adventurer® 30l Pack | Eddie Bauer
Both are 19.5" x 13.5" x 7.25" = 40.25 linear inches
When did Spirit start flying seaplanes?
They don't always start off as one.....
They charge extra for the special landing.
