I'm wondering if you've ever had an award stay increase in price after making the booking, but prior to actually staying? Last month I made a reservation for the Ritz-Carlton LA Live for May 1st. The booking was for club level using points + cash for 50,000 points and $100 in cash. I was happy to be able to attach my 50,000 point free night certificate for the stay once it's deposited in my account this November.
Tonight, going through my emails I noticed the points required portion of the stay wasn't published on the confirmation email, nor on the reservation info page under the app. I looked up the reservation using the desktop version of my web browser and now see that the points required was jacked up to 60,000 points, making it impossible to use my free night certificate. Has something like this happened to you before?
