At the beginning of 2019, I was not aware that, as a Platinum, I had the option to choose between 5 suite nights or 5 elite nights credit. Thus, the annual gift defaulted to the suite nights. I requested a change to elite nights credit. A case was opened and customer service stated that I would get a reply within 5 business days. After speaking with more than 7 associates and 2 supervisors, who gave me different versions of the policy, I'm now thoroughly confused. Two of them convinced me that even if I had received 5 elite nights credit at the beginning of 2019, these nights would apply to 2018 instead of 2019. Another associate told me that I didn't need 50 nights by December 31, 2019. Instead, I could complete 45 nights in 2019 and then get the 5 elite nights credit at the beginning of 2020 because this credit applied for the previous year (2019). Please clarify the following:
-I need 26 nights in 2019 to keep the Platinum. If I do 21...do I get the 5 elite nights credit in 2020 and it applies to 2019?
-Can the 5 suite nights be reversed to 5 elite nights credit?
If I do the 26 nights I need to keep the Platinum, once I choose the 5 elite nights credit in 2020, is this credit applied to 2020 or 2019?
