Does anyone know the dollar value of points when using them to pay for incidentals on room charges or in property owned restaurants?

Instant Redemption | Pay With Your Loyalty Points | Marriott Bonvoy
It's a horrible value, though. In general, most Insiders put a value of one US cent per point, meaning you want to get that value (or more) when redeeming. Consider a property that costs 25,000 points for a one night stay. If the price (tax included) is $250, that's a reasonable exchange. If it's more expensive, it's an even better redemption.
When using "Instant Redemption" to pay for incidentals, those same 25,000 are only worth $100 (less than half a cent per point). There are all manner of ways to use points. If you are looking to get the best value out of you points, Instant Redemptions are not the way to go. If, on the other hand, you've got points to burn, you can knock $10 off your bill for every 2,500 points.
