I booked a reservation at the Courtyard Wall at Monmouth Shores Corporate Park in New Jersey for my son's soccer tournament. I was told on the phone and via confirmation email that I had until the day before arrival to cancel. I cancelled the day before arrival, and was still charged for both rooms. The hotel is now saying that I had to cancel within one day of booking (which is contradictory to what I was told on the phone and via confirmation email). I called the manager and she was was smug and rude and refused to refund. Only after I filed a complain with AMEX are they now trying to reach out to me. How can I report this case of fraud/ lying?
