Having stayed at many great Marriott properties in London, location is always important, but I think this place is tops for first timers!

Marriott County Hall, has it all!

For families, couples or business people, this place is tough to beat.  The location is across Westminster Bridge from Big Ben and Parliament.  The London Eye is next door and you can walk to Waterloo Station, Churchill War Musuem, #10 Downing, and even Traf. Square (1 mile) if you like to walk.  The walk along the Thames is unforgettable.

The Concierge is open 7 days a week from 6 am to midnight and serves full breakfasts and nice appetizers at night.  The staff is most helpful and The Guest Relations Manager, Ramona W., could not have been more professional.  A very nice swimming pool is one of the many features of the hotel. The hotel is really quiet and the river side is especially peaceful.  Likewise, there is a very nice place to dine right out the rear door, Locale Cucina Italiana, is very reasonable, at dinners from 10-20 British Pounds.  Their grilled steaks were very good!

You will be looking at a cab fare of 10-15 pounds to Harrods, British musuem and many dining places.  If you take the tube from Westminster or Waterloo, it is a lot less.

The trip went so well last week, I booked another one for a full week here for Valentine's Day 2011!
