MY wife had her headphones stolen from housekeeping at the Renissance Marriott St Louis Airport. We've called the hotel multiple times ( I have the maangers phone number) but no one is willing to pick up or help. How can I get this fixed.
It looks like your post got overlooked.
It's really a shame to read that you experienced a theft in your hotel room. Thanks for sharing the specific property so the Insiders here can make a better informed decision about staying there!
Have you contacted Marriott's Customer Service yet? They are able to follow up on your behalf with the hotel. Make sure you get a case number!
Alternatively, our communitymanagers may also be able to advocate on your behalf, as they have often done in the past. They're tagged in now, so they will be notified of your topic. They will probably ask you to open a support ticket or provide additional details through a Direct Message.
Let us know if you're getting anywhere.
Finally: do you have travel insurance? Maybe on your credit card? That could be your final resolution to get a new pair of headphones refunded.
You are likely not in STL anymore, but I would file a police report. Anything official that gets filed is going to raise awareness very quickly.
The headphones are one thing, it's been the poor customer service and blatant disrespect that has really made this whole thing sour. Here I am just shy of 600 nights total with Marriott and this was by far the worst customer experience ever at any Marriott property. I spoke to the manager "Sammie" and he was not helpful or apologetic and didn't provide anything to help or support to resolve the issue. I'm not going to give up on this till it's resolved.
At some point, one stay will stand out as your worst stay. With so many nights, something is unfortunately bound to go wrong. Still only 0.17% of your total night count. Just for some perspective. It's not the entire Marriott brand that totally goes sideways.
Stay on top of this, I hope you get it rectified!
