Has anyone noticed that they cannot see their year to date spend in 2019,? I shows me 29 nights but no total of £$ etc etc, I call them and they give it to me over the phone, but its nice having on the app\website
Same here. Does it show up after hitting 75 or 100 nights? I agree it would be nice to see it from day one.
I don't recall seeing it until I hit my nights last year. But when it did show, it was a fraction of what it should have been. I understand that taxes and fees don't count and probably some other things, but even if you assume that my average room rate, before taxes and fees, was $100 (I mean, I'm cheap and a savvy booker but I wish that was my average rate) it should have been much higher.
I want to be clear that I wouldn't have gotten close to Ambassador status in any case. I just don't understand how the calculation works for this particular component.
well my total that I got over the phone was correct after currency conversion, so it does exist as a figure, I can see a possible delay until you get past 75 nights but if "one" is already a Ambassador then it would be nice to count it up, especially when I have got 47 trips of a minimum of 3 days booked in the next 9 months!!
According to Lurker on FT, it only shows after 50 nights.
Hi zemb, Year-to-date spending will appear in the members online account after members complete 50 eligible nights. Best Regards, Christina ZhouSocial Media SpecialistMarriott International firstname.lastname@example.org
Spending towards the $20k will show up on both the website and app once you reach 50 nights.
Looks like Marriott has made a change. I'm now seeing my spending for the year even though I haven't reached 50 nights yet. With only 6 paid (plus 18 CC/redeemed) nights and $607 spent so far, I don't think I'm gonna reach Ambassador this year.
Not that I'm trying.
Good to see that Lifetine Titanium there bejacob, hard work paid off!
I got the same thing. It shows my spend after just 28 nights so far...
So do I now.... half way to 100 + 20k
I have noticed this all year until this past week my year to date spend totals just appeared on Marriott.com. I'm at 40 nights this year.
My annual spending popped up after 30 nights.
I can confirm that it is not showing for me. I am currently at 49 nights for the year and only joined in November 2018 so didn't have status last year. Might be an existing thing for people who have status from the previous year.
Mines up, $1,400 over 8 nights. Yeah, I know, I’m a minnow!
I have 51 paid nights and my Quicken shows somewhere around $8K spent at Marriott, but my page shows Achieved Ambassador through Jan 2020.
You must have earned Ambassador last year to have it to January 2020. Once you get to 100 nights and $20k this year (2019) you’ll then be awarded ambassador to January 2021.
Yes, I have earned it. I am just pointing out that while I have the Ambassador status this year, the counter does not show my progress towards the next.
