Non-guest dining credit

I had thought that this former Starwood feature had been discontinued at merger last August. However, recently I learned that earning Marriott BONVOY points has been continued for dining at former SPG properties (not Marriott ones such as Renaissance). Asia-Pacific region seems to have a separate program for this.

I stopped by for lunch at the local Sheraton restaurant, taking my receipt to the check-in desk for credit as before. The agent told me that they don't have new carbon copy forms at present, so she made a copy of my restaurant charge slip, entering my details directly right in front of me, sending me away with an assurance that I should see the point soon. She also reminded me that from now on I should be sure to get the 10% bonvoy member discount in future from the server.

(Parsnip - Green Apple soup sounded odd, but a cup of it was actually very nice)
