Does anyone see their annual spend for 2019 yet? I achieved ambassador last year so the website and app only currently show "enjoy ambassador status through January 2020." Would be nice to keep track if I'll be able to extend that by a year.
If I remember correctly, this only appears once you get to 50 nights.
That would make sense. Thank you!
Actually you should see it if you click on Nights This Year > . I only have redemptions this year so far, but the counter appears to be there, but is showing $0 at this point since all that counts is the actual room rate.
None of my nights this year are award redemption, but my spend also shows $0. But of course, I have any number of issues going on with my account!!! Does anyone else have paid nights this year and show $0 spend? (or actually show a spend amount?)
I think you are right, my spend is still $0 and I have four additional night paid now. Looks like it may not increment yet, at least not correctly.
Yup, me too.
Add me to the “4-paid-nights so far, but no recorded spend on the Ambassador counter” club!
I’m sure I’ve read from quite a few credible sources that the spend counter only shows the spend once you reach 50 nights.
Here's the wording directly from
"...once you’ve stayed 50 nights at our hotels, your year-to-date spending will appear in your online account so you can easily track your progress toward an ambassador."
For many users who will never hit the $20k spend, it probably doesn't matter when the spending info appears. For those who will definitely reach 100 nights in a year, I can understand why having spending tracked from the beginning of the year would be important. A good first start for Marriott would be to track spending for anyone who achieved Ambassador status in the previous year.
Based on the issues with EQNs registering, I would imagine there are also issues with credit for qualified spend. If you had 100 nights last year, and are on track, it would certainly be helpful to be able to verify the spend - adding a category on the activity page would be so beneficial for verification.
