This Ritz-Carlton in White Plains, NY, like the nearby Renaissance Hotel (see separate Hotel Review) is conveniently located to all major highways: l-287, Route 95 (NE Thruway), Hutchinson River Parkway, Route 684 and Westchester Avenue.  As such, it is easily accessible and is convenient to downtown NYC by train or car.

This hotel is a category 5 (35,000 points).  For those of you that have upgraded to the new Chase Marriott Rewards "Premier Plus" VISA card, this would be a nice property to use your category 5 free night certificate.

This property is nicely decorated with a contemporary flair throughout.  The lobby has a small yet comfortable lounge with a centrally located fireplace.  You can get afternoon tea, cocktails and several small plate appetizers.  On weekends a buffet breakfast is available in the lounge area.  This Ritz does NOT have a separate Club Lounge.  The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable.

This Ritz has a large spa which includes an indoor rooftop pool for spa users only.  There is a private restaurant on the 42nd floor, The Kanopi, which is used for private functions.

One of the highlights of this property is that there is a BLT Steak restaurant attached to the hotel lobby.  We did dine there one evening and it did not disappoint.  This restaurant does get very busy so I would definitely recommend getting a reservation in advance of your stay.

If you are looking for a comfortable stay in the NYC suburbs, I would recommend this hotel.
