SPG points transferred but don't show up in balance

Has this happened to anyone else?  I recently transferred the balance of my SPG points to my Marriott account.  The transfer came through on 1/4 and the points show up in my activity with a + sign in front of them.  However, they are not included in my points balance--I knew exactly what the balance was before the transferred points were recorded and they did not increase the balance.  It doesn't seem like it should take a few days for the transferred points to be included in the balance--that should be instantaneously with the recording of the points, shouldn't it?
