Very disappointed Starwood guest. I earned P4L with Starwood and received a very nice metal membership card that had my name, number, and Platinum for Life Status. A nice little perk to show the front desk staff. I recently checked into a Marriot in California and they told me my card was no longer valid and that I now have a new membership number. The staff member wrote my new number on a piece of cardboard and told me to stop using the Starwood card.
I know that the number would change, however, the way this was managed was awful. I went from a really nice metal card to a cardboard handwritten note. Welcome to the program this is what we think of Starwood customers is how I felt.
Should us Starwood people expect to get a new Marriot Platinum card or are we stuck with the piece of cardboard?
