Temporary loss of lounge access due to missing stays?

First, a very Merry Christmas to everyone here!


So... my reported nights are standing at 71 this year, but there's still 6 missing stay nights (reported both with the missing stay form and directly to the hotels).


Now... I've got reservations set up starting January 1st 2019. Here's the puzzle... if the missing nights have not yet been added to my rewards account by then, will my level get downgraded temporarily and I lose out on lounge access etc.?


Should I "use" my elite gift and add five nights to my rewards account just in case it takes too long to have the missing nights credited?


What's the best way to sort this out?
