It starts to look like the relations aren't renewed.
If you look at SPG-China Eastern Promo , it shows a popup windows stating that the program ends within a month (May 26).Also note that Emirates has removed all Marriott portfolios from their hotel-partners page.
Not a good sign!
United probably evoked a contract clause stating that they are the exclusive airline partner.
I guess that they'll wait until the merger of Marriott and Starwood is 100% completed. So it could open up again in February, once all accounts are merged.
