Was just booking a Starwood Property that in the past had killer AARP Discounts. Just realized that with everything switched over to Marriott, they aren't available anymore. Starwood was the only reason I got an AARP card.
How many others are no longer going to pay for an AARP card?
In my experience the Marriott Senior Discount has always been better than either the AAA or AARP discounts. Admittedly, you have to be at least 62 to qualify for the Senior Discount, so losing the AARP discount could be sad for some because you can join AARP at 50.
I belong to AARP for a variety of reasons, not just their discounts (which in many cases I can do better through other means).
