Airline transfer issues

One of the best benefits of the old SPG was how promptly points were transferred to the different airlines.  I tried to transfer points to Qantas and, after 10 business days, the transfer has not taken place.  Depending with whom you speak at the Platinum desk, I receive different answers: the system has glitches; it should have been posted already or it might take up to six weeks.  Bottom line: if Marriott is having issues which they clearly do, why not state it at the time of transfer?  I have been a SPG Platinum for over ten years and I am very disappointed on the lack of communication from management apologizing and admitting the issues.  Totally out of the picture, like they really do not care of their Elite members.  Both Hilton and Hyatt are inviting many of us to join their programs matching our existing SPG status.  It might take many of us to defect before management wakes up?  Really sad how a great brand and program is being destroyed....
