Wondering if the chances of getting upgraded are better using mobile check in - or checking in at the hotel?
I don't know that it increases your chances, but jw99 just reported that his SNAs worked their magic for a trip to Madrid with an Early Upgrade Request.
I use it and I do not think it increases the chances of an upgrade. I think i get more upgrades when I ask nicely picking up my key.
I use mobile check-in almost all the time and am frequently upgraded. It's hard to know for sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say I've gotten an upgrade slightly more often when using mobile check-in than just walking up to the front desk.
As the kids conspire to drag Dad into the 21st century technologically (so much for the Christmas surprise - they've been taught not to gamble on expensive gifts I might not use ), your success just might be the impetus to have me, finally, get on board with that whole internet thingy and get me one of them Marriott mobile apps (alert IAH, pigs will be flying in the Woodlands). Thanks for sharing, keep on keepin' on .
