I see I've gotten some rewards from the megabonus, but I'd like to see which brands i've crossed out already and which ones I still need to achive? Any tips?
After finishing the game, click on the link, Check out the brands you've matched and the brands yet to be discovered > 29 Ways to Stay. A pop-up menu will appear with all the Brands you've completed in the game....one per day of play.
You need to track your MegaBonus brands yourself; Marriott does not track them for you.
arizonatag, this Insider is not talking about the 29 Ways game, but tracking brands from the MegaBonus .
Thank you for redirect o0o0o0o0o0o...points!
If you haven't been tracking them, you could look at your account activity since the beginning of the promo. Then it would just be a matter of manually counting the different brands you've stayed at so far and adding to that list as you make more stays. As o0o0o0o0o0o...points! notes, Marriott is not tracking them for you (or if they are, they aren't displaying it anywhere).
I will have stayed in 10 unique brands, but one stay was on a rewards redemption. Will a reward stay be included for the 29 ways Megabonus? or do I have to stay at another brand to get the 10,000 point bonus? When I called Marriott rewards I was told that the 2000 bonus points only applied to PAID stays not reward stays, even though it doesn't say that anywhere in the fine print, so am wondering if it is the same thing for the 29 ways Megabonus?"Members who stay at 10 different brands during the promotion earning period will also earn a one-time bonus of 10,000 points, plus members who stay at all 29 brands will earn a one-time bonus of 29,000 points.
If we go by past promotions, only paid stays count towards anything MegaBonus related. It would be sad for you lose the extra 10k points because you ended up one brand short. I'd look into finding another brand (or the same brand you visited for your redemption stay) before the end of January and make a paid stay. The points aren't huge, so don't go too far out of your way to make it happen, but if you can work it into your upcoming plans, do it.
