It happened to me today when I booked Starwood Hotel (Westin Brisbane, Australia) with Marriott Rewards Points, the booking was unsuccessful but still Rewards Point were deducted from my account straight away :-(
Since the booking was unsuccessful, I do not have any hotel confirmation details...
Spoke to the Marriott Rewards/SPG agent but they can't give a clear answer but just asked me to wait!
Any advise who I can call to get my rewards points refunded to me?? Marriott Rewards Customer Service or SPG Customer Service or Westin Brisbane (the hotel itself) ??
By the way, #WestinBrisbane is a new hotel and it only starts operation next month.
