I can recall having to scrounge for a bedside electrical socket only once recently, until my current Fairfield stay (to be fair property is bring renovated).
I do generally bring an short extension cord for unknown hotels, but this time I forgot it. Luckily, I do keep my trusty Japanese adapter gizmo more or less full-time in my travel bag. Ended up unplugging the alarm clock altogether, as I don't use it, preferring my phone; if I'd wanted to keep it, I could have used one of the gizmo outlets for the lamp. Situation on the other side of the bed is even more dire in terms of electrical accessibility. The desk features a similar lamp, but with a single AC socket.
Curious if anyone else has run across a similar situation at all in recent memory? Do you carry any sort of extension cord in case the socket itself is away from the bed?
