Just an FYI:

Although the Marriott/SPG properties remain open, some of the  San Francisco locations are having at least 2,500 workers strike.

The impacted hotels in San Francisco include:

  • The Courtyard Marriott Downtown
  • The Marriott Marquis
  • Marriott Union Square
  • The Palace Hotel
  • The St. Regis
  • The W
  • The Westin St. Francis.

The news  mentioned that this is also happening in Boston.  8,300 workers authorized the strike, 4,000 workers walked out.  Hope this is not affecting your stay.

10/05/18 UPDATE:

Additional Hotels that are have joined the strike:

  • Oakland Marriott
  • San Jose Marriott City Center

bostonsportgeek, have you been keeping up with the strike in Boston?  Is it expanding to outlining areas?   What I was able to find  online is "Roughly 1,500 workers at seven different Marriott-owned hotels across Boston." I found a partial list of hotels: the Ritz Carlton, Westin and Sheraton Boston.  Do  you know of the other properties affected?
