Marriott Room Rate Up along with Occupancy

It appears, at least initially, that Marriott's merger with SPG is starting to pay off. 

An interesting article just surfaced about Marriott online. It begins: Two quarters into the current year, Marriott's global systemwide average daily rate (ADR) has improved nearly 2% to $161.42.   • New Loyalty Program includes over 110 million members
  • Largest Inventory of hotel rooms globally with 466,000 rooms in the development pipeline
  • Marriott's Luxury (Aspirational Destinations) generate 19% of gross fee revenue
  • Booked revenue on Marriott's mobile apps and websites grew faster than booked revenue from OTAs
