I do not understand why I cannot register for megabonus promotion. It showed "Promotion Unavailable"...

For anyone that cannot register for this and any future MegaBonus – just call Marriott at
(or your local #)
and ask to be registered! Don’t worry about whether the link works!
Go to the "Support" tab at the top of the window and fill out the form to get help registering for the promotion.
I tried that and got a "Something went wrong with your help request" or whatever the words are. They really don't want me to have this promotion :-)
This happens more than it should. The communitymanagers should be able to resolve this for you.

Sorry. Hopefully Community Managers will be able to help. This Link (Promotion Central ) worked for me as a work around to the regular promotion central link.
Like b.e. , this one didn't go my way (I have three SpringHills, three Marriotts and two Res Inns -few brands and only one a two night stay, oh well), but no beef from me, that's the way it goes and I have excellent 'early bird' (10-11 months out) rates that aren't worth switching for the points.
Like many, I didn't get an email and showed zero promotions on my Profile - not to worry, we've all seen this movie before (although I was tempted to "Ask what do I do?" just to make bejacob do his headbanger routine again ).
I seem to alternate between getting the link and not getting the link and having it done by Marriott, no big whoop (although, as I have written before, you have to feel for folks who don't know Marriott inexplicably does their offers this way every time...and I do mean every).
Now, here's the rub. I called in, got a rep and knew pretty soon that this was a rookie. Sure enough, she first looked at my profile and said I didn't have a Promotion (which, according to my profile, I didn't). I then asked her to try the link, she did and dutifully reported (after asking if I was a Miles collector - hint, hint about her experience) that the Promotion wasn't meant for me. I then politely asked, "could you check with a supervisor, please?", to her credit (she was always polite and willing to help, she was just, like scores I've chatted with, new) she did and I was signed up.
But again, it makes you wonder how many Marriott customers miss out because they believe what they are told? Oh well, whaddaya gonna do? Keep on keepin' on Insiders, it's a valuable weapon

I also appreciate hearing your story about the phone rep situation. Luckily, this wasn't your first rodeo, so you knew what to do. Let's hope everyone who can't get signed up reads your post and follows the same course of action.
Just in case, I'm signing up for a Zen mediation class so when I read about all those who don't follow the erc way of doing things, I won't end up like this again.

It says no new promotion is available on my account. I don't want to go through calling them for this. They are already overwhelmed with people calling because their accounts aren't correct. Now, they are dealing with Florence. ..

The second megabonus that is not found and that I cannot register for.... way to go Marriott.
You're not alone. Several people are having that problem. You may want to call into Marriott Rewards for assistance.
