Marriott experience post merger turning nasty

Hello,

 

I am a Lifetime Gold Marriott member staying at Marriott Hotels for 1,789 nights to-date.  My LifeTime points was about 1,700,000 last month.  Post merger, my status has removed my lifetime status.  It does not show up in my status any longer.  I have asked Marriott for an explanation several times, but to no avail.  In the meantime Marriott experience at different places in the US are getting real nasty.  

 

I do travel every week and need a place to stay where I am treated like a human being.  Lately I have been very disappointed at several Marriotts.  

 

The value of Marriott Reward Points seems to have plummeted as the minimum points for a stay has increased considerably.

 

Do you guys have any thoughts/suggestions?
