Group Booking Deficiency

The group booking approach appears to be flawed for platinum benefits when booking for a group.


I'm staying at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown this weekend and we booked through transferring my points to a friend, who booked 3 rooms together.  Our group is made up of platinum members.  As it was the weekend, the concierge lounge was closed so he received coupons for drinks.  However, neither my room nor the other room received any alternative and upon asking, they said they do not do it for the other rooms.  This is clearly a deficiency in policy as if we booked them separately, we would have each received the benefits.
