As part of the merge, I was supposed to be upgraded to Marriott Rewards Platinum Elite with Ambassador - at first, I was somewhat confused on how to actually use the service, so I eventually called customer care, who gave me the Ambassador phone number - I phoned them, and spoke to a nice lady who told me the following:
1. Everyone who was eligible for an upgrade, has already been assigned an ambassador, and that I should have received an letter from marriott about this if I was eligible.
2. That I'm not eligible for ambassador service, and that my account doesn't show ambassador, even though, I meet the requirements (117 nights spent in 2018, and 21k in spend - plus a similar amount in 2017)
She also confirmed that she could see that the MR website I can see, does show ambassador service - she told me that she would contact management, and that I should receive a callback within 24 hours. 24 hours has passed, and I've still heard nothing.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
