anyone not get points back after a cancellation?

I just cancelled a upcoming point stay at JW Marriott Essex House in NYC. I clicked cancel and got a confirmation number for the cancellation. My Points have not been returned and I have not revived a confirmation email of the cancellation. I'm Super frustrated and have been on hold for 2 hours with no resolution yet. Total points to be returned are 498,000
