As I was navigating the new website trying to find why my indicated status was incorrect, I found that all of my saved room preference information had been changed to 'no preference'. I was unable to change it to the preferences for high floor, king/queen bed, and room with refrigerator. Have the room preferences been eliminated, or is this just another glitch in the system. I've read recent comments about long term loyal customers being assigned different room/bed types than had been confirmed, so this appears to be an emerging problem.
If Marriott can't even assign its most long-term loyal customers their preferred rooms and bed types, why should we continue to be loyal to their brands.
