We are planning a family trip to Europe in the spring of 2019 for 6 adults. We would like to use our credit card reward points for airline tickets. I have never used our points for flights before, how do I go about it?
Kind of a loaded question - but it really depends. With many CC (AMEX and Chase) you can book flights directly through the website or their concierge service. The alternative is to transfer the points from your CC to an authorized travel Partner.
This is the portal for Chase Ultimate Rewards:
harpenholdings-- Can you tell us what type of credit card points you have? This will help with getting the best response to your question.
Assuming you are talking about Reward Points, you can transfer enough points/miles to your airline account. My suggestion is to open up your desired airline and book your reservation using airline miles for you and all the tickets that you wish to get. Generally, the airline will hold your reservation for 3 days, which should be enough time to transfer the miles from Marriott to your account. If you feel confident that you can book the tickets after the miles are transferred you can do that as well.
Just so you know, using reward points to transfer miles to your airline account is not getting the best value for your reward points, but it is up to you.
