I believe this has been discussed on here before, but tonight was a first for me. I was walking out of the bathroom in my room at a Marriott when the front door opened. Luckily I had the latch on, so the lady didn't get in, but it startled me and I said "Whoa!!!!" really loud. We exchanged niceties through the door trying to figure out what had happened. Anyways, the front desk was in awe because they have a fail safe to prevent that from happening. I explained that fail safes need to not fail to be safe, and that I was hugely concerned that had I been out to dinner, someone would have had access to all of my belongings.
She offered points for the trouble and without thinking about it I just said sure... What's a fair amount of points to ask for or expect for this scenario? Honestly, this hotel is usually really nice to me, so I'm not hell bent on milking this, just curious what others have received in this instance.
