Hi! I just had an example where my checkout price was off by $4 on a one night $208 stay (room cost was $180.)
I've had this happen a couple of times. Now that the standard is to email the receipt instead of printing it for you, sometimes when I am in a rush, I don't ask and wait for the paper copy.
I thought about calling Marriott to ask, but my reservation says, "estimated taxes and fees" meaning they can change it and legally I don't have a leg to stand on.
I'm curious as to how often this happens. The company I work for the most often builds the work order from the pre-travel reservation prices. I could contact them and change the Work Order, but that would be silly for $4 here and there, but I've never had one come in lower. Only higher. It makes it hard to fairly comparison shop prices when it is only an "estimate"
Have you ever had an increase or a decrease in the quoted price from your reservation? Curious minds want to know.
