So for the past month, I've been communicating with both Chase and Marriott Rewards about receiving the free night e-certificate. I was finally told by Chase that I don't qualify for it because I didn't spend $25,000 in the past year. Is this a newer policy? I've been a card holder for a decade, and I haven't gotten a free night in awhile, but I never really needed to cash it in until this year.

I just want to say that the absurdity of having to spend $25,000 after paying a high annual fee to earn the privilege of staying 1 night in like...a Fairfield seriously kind of an insult.

I also had a poor stay recently last week. Wrote to corporate about it, and received no response. Do I need to go on Yelp or Tripadvisor to put them on blast just to get a reply? Totally not my style but maybe it's time to. Seriously what's happening to this company?
