I booked a room at the Tokyo Marriott in August for 6 nights, incidentally to celebrate my 40th birthday. I booked a Deluxe King Room, Non-Smoking. I found the room for less on a travel aggregator site, and had the LNF approved (same details, deluxe king bed, non-smoking). It was approved, and I now I see the lower, approved rate on the booking on Marriott.com, but I also see “King Bed - unavailable” and “non-smoking - unavailable”.
These two factors are non-negotiable for me, and I don’t understand why my travel aggregator LNF reservation had to EXACTLY MATCH the marriott.com reservation, but once they approve the match they can effectively downgrade me (based on my preferences, and what I had booked on both sites) to 2 beds and a smoking room, which is not what was booked on either site.
