Anyone has suggestions? I know, I want to visit Tokyo. Where else should I visit?
Even though I have never been to Japan its long been on my wish list.
Visit Kyoto if you like to experience Japanese culture and can combine Osaka as well. Climb Mt Fuji if you are adventerous.
Depending on how many days you want to spend you can add Hiroshima and or Kobe as well.
Plan atleast for a week or 10 days as there are a ton of places to see.
Okay, you have to try some cultural stuff. Tokyo is a huge metropolis, but they do have Sumo Wrestling at Kokygikan (I Think that is Amphitheater in English). Also check out the walking tours from your hotel; they should have several to chose from. Your hotel concierge should be able to hook you up with tickets and transportation or directions. If you have children with you, they are probably going to enjoy Disneyworld more; but for adults they have a ton of things to do and see. Walking Tours are terrific and if you're staying in the heart of Tokyo, you won't have any problem connecting with one of them...even the shopping tour is amazing. It is one of the best ways to check things out, find what you like/don't like, and then go back to further explore the stuff you really like. The Kabuki shows are very interesting (but I found them to be a little too boring for young ones). They also have cooking class to learn how to make Soba. Tokyo was a blast for me, but way too much to do, so chose wisely. It can be overwhelming. Just riding the train system with about a million others was an adventure!
