First post so excuse me if there is an obvious answer here. I was looking at booking a reward stay in Washington but wasn't overly clear on how extra "person" policy works. It's a family of 4, including 2 children, both under 7 years old. The room description clearly states that room can accommodate 4ppl. However, when I play around with the reservation system, I get an extra $80 charge for 1 child and then an extra $150 charge for 2 children. Is it normal to add fees for children on rewards stays? I had read somewhere also that extra guest charges were included in the reward and it's generally been my experience that children stay free of charge when using existing bedding (at least in America). I may go ahead and call the hotel to confirm anyway but just wondering about other people's experiences --- also, interestingly when I insert random dates in, some dates have this extra person charge at $30 and other dates have it close to $100.
