whats the best beach place to use my points ?
The Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino is a great beach resort. Check out the hotel review at:
To add some other spots some of which may take being creative to get into using points, but we've loved visiting with wonderful beaches look into,
Check out the Sheraton and Westin on Ka'annapali Beach, Maui
If you don't much care to get in the water as it has huge undertow but enjoy walking the beach at a fantastic resort then take a look at a spot we've visited twice,
There are too many potential places to list. When are you going and what you location do you want to go. Many places in the Caribbean, Mexico, Brazil and Hawaii are great. Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach are fabulous. Many places in Florida and California. If we can narrow this down a little bit, we can come up with very good recommendations
I'd like to know the California beach locations you would recommend....Thanks!
There are a couple of locations. The Coronado (near San Diego) and Newport Beach. Those are just two that I could think of right away.
Don't you hate it when someone comes along on this site, asks a legitimate question, several Insiders provide thoughtful responses or asks the poster for more info, and then all you hear in response is crickets?!? Come on folks, have the common courtesy of following up and letting us know what you think or have decided upon.
EXACTLY......any response would be appreciated.
we like in no order
Curacao - Marriott not Ren.
St Croix - Carambola
on St Thomas Ritz and Morning Star at Frenchmens Reef
JW Cancun and Marriott Cancun (both for different reasons)
There are several in Hawaii and Florida. It all depends where you want to go and the time of the year.
True ....Maui and Kauai are fabulous. I am not a fan of the shores of Florida. The Ritz Amelia Island is lovely but I am not going in the water - Great for golf biking and spa
This time of the year, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head are great beach locations. Curious, why are you not going into the water in Amelia Island?
I like the water blue. It is not blue and also can be A bit chilly we were there for Easter 2017 and it was still cold water.
Very interesting. I was fortunate enough to be down in Venice Florida for 3 months and February was a spectacular month. Every day was sunny and 80+ degrees. I went into the water each day I was on the beach. The water temperature was in the low 70's and this low temperature is higher than the high temperature we have back home in the Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine beach areas. Different strokes for different folks. Other great beach places to go are Puerto Rico (not sure of power issue right now) St. Maarten and many other Caribbean locations.
wetravel2 Just curious... what's "golf biking"?
Lots of great answers here. We've stayed at a number of the Hawaii resorts and can vouch for them.
I want to mention (what I believe is) an often overlooked property, though... The Hollywood (Florida) Beach Marriott. It is right on the beach and right on a boardwalk with lots of bars and restaurants. It may not be the most luxurious place, but it's real easy to get to and lots of fun! And... I've stayed there on points!
I will remember that for next year when I return to Florida for 3 months.
