The last week or so, we've stayed at several Marriott properties -- Marriott's, Fairfield Inn, Springhill Suites, and Residence Inn -- and, in every place, the wifi has been a huge problem.
It took many repeated attempts to get connected to the wifi system at each place. We had to "forget" the network connection over and over again. Each time it would show we are "connected" to the internet, but no traffic was allowed through. In two of the hotels -- the Fairfield and the Springhill Suites -- it took almost 30 minutes to get it resolved.
Frustratingly, we know we were actually connected since we could use the Marriott site and log into our Marriott account, check status, etc.
Compounding these frustrations is that we would have new connection problems each time we returned to the hotel.
I think this is all related to the new system that attempts to eliminate reauthorization for standard or enhanced internet access across all the hotels. But right now, it's making the process VERY frustrating.
