JW Marriott in Quito, Ecuador; poor quality and service in the restaurant
My wife and I stayed at the Quito Marriott on two nights, once on March 19 and the second on March 28.
On March 28 we ate at the Japanese bar in the lobby and were surprised at the poor food, the bad service and the condition of the restaurant. We had extremely poor service having to solicit help several times; the tables were only 25% filled (maybe less). The staff just ignored us. Our sandwiches were dry and some of the meat was hard it was so dry. The hamburger was ordered rare and confirmed by the server; yet it arrived overdone and dry. The Creole sandwich was dry and the meat hard; the sweet potato listed in the menu did not accompany the sandwich.
There was food on the floor that was ignored and continued to be spread around by the staff as they walked past us (and ignored us as well).
I expect much better from Marriott; have others had problems there or elsewhere? I'm waiting for a response from Marriott.
