When you search for a reservation, click the button for using points. Then when you select the hotel you want (must be a category 5 or lower), the Use Certificate from your account will appear. Click on that to use your certificate and you're good to go. The Certificate can be used in combination with money for more days, however, the certificate cannot be used in conjunction with "points" for more free room stays. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always call the Elite Line Phone # and they'll help you book the room with the certificate. Hope that helps. Be sure you're logged into your account when searching for a stay, otherwise the Cert won't show up as available for you to use. Cheers!
Choose the location you are going to, select a single night duration and check Use Points. Then select your desired property from the list and finish the booking. Keep in mind that you wont be able to use it in big cities like Boston, NYC, LA, SFO assuming its a cat 1 - 5 certificate.
I had problems with this also. I called customer service and realized I was trying to book hotels that were a category 6 & 7 and that you can only book up to a five as you stated. What is frustrating to me is that this is for my daughters graduation from college in May. Every hotel in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore is a 6 or 7. I wanted to be as close as possible because I as disable. But here’s how I look at this.....every 6 and 7 room was within a few dollars of each other, same with vallet parking it was $35-$45 at all the hotels. Point is they werent much different, these 6 and 7’s so if I were going in without a card I would just pick a great hotel. BUT I HAVE A REWARD, YEAH!! BOO, can’t use it. Does not make sense. I know the hotels are given points based on many things but if they all cost the same amount of $ then our points should be different also. I felt punished in a sense. So in order to be close to the Royal Farms Arena I used 60,000 of my 120,000pts. It was either that or spend $850 for a roo for only 2 nights. Just to addI was very friendly with customer service and they could of cared less.
