When we booked a 5-day stay on Reward Points at a full service Marriott the only room choice offered was 2 Queens. Didn't expect a problem with King Bed Type preference listed in J's profile, backed up by the Platinum Preferred Bed Type Guarantee.
Checked in, no king available, only 2 queens. Told by front desk that is what we booked - true.
Researched on MRI trying to understand Platinum Guaranteed Bed Type. And checked our account preferences just to be sure.
Guess what? Under Preferred Room Options, Bed Type choices now are King/Queen or 2 Doubles. And not guaranteed - "We'll make every effort to honor your requests."
