Thanks for your valuable insight. I’m staying there in August!
Enjoy your stay and be sure to sample a steak of your liking in the Lincoln restaurant, you won't be disappointed!
mustanggt, thanks for taking the time to share! I've always wanted to make this trip! I need to make a run out to our Phoenix office later this year, and would love to bolt on a little downtime to that trip! Notwithstanding the golf experience, if you could only pick one of the two, you would make the Camelback Inn your choice?
nationwide, If you were traveling with family and wanted to kick back and relax, I would choose Camelback. However, if you are traveling solo or with a few business associates you might be better off at Desert Ridge. Desert Ridge clearly has places where you can relax, but it also has a higher energy level. Also, you should consider paying for access to the Griffin Club if you plan on spending time at the resort. Even though you said to disregard the golf, in case you change your mind the pro shop and the two courses (Palmer & Faldo) are literally outside the back door and they would be more than happy to set you up with some clubs, for a small fee of course. Make sure you pack your golf shoes and a couple sleeves of Pro V1's just in case! Enjoy!
