I stayed at the Marriot waterfront in Baltimore last week.
I just entered an account, can I still claim the rewards on that stay to my account? If yes, how do I do that?
Thanks in advance,
Unfortunately Nicole the answer is generally NO. In order to receive points the hotel needs to have your MR account number before you check out. Make sure when you make future reservations that your account number appears on the reservation.
As per the T&C, this is true.
However, if you contact a CSR and ask nicely, they may accept receipts up to one year old, as long as the receipts were otherwise eligible. I've heard cases where this has happened.
You can try calling and asking. Never hurts to ask!
Agreed, if you get a MR hotline rep that says 'no', hang up, call back, and try again... you should be able to do this. Now, if you were not a member before the stay, and just created an account after the stay (I'm assuming that's what you mean by "just entered an account"), then you may have to call several times until you get someone willing to accept the stay and credit it to your account. However, if you are unable to get the stay credited, Marriott would be following their rewards program guidelines as you were not a member prior to the stay.
Since the stay was very recent however, you probably have a good chance at getting the stay credited.
