I responded to e-mail to join Marriott Voice. Website timed out and did not load. Is this a legitimate e-mail or a phishing scam coming from a spammer?
Exactly the same thing happened to me.
I just did this too. My notes:
a. The page loads very slow - it took my gigabit connection a full three minutes to connect. The survey itself should have taken about 45 seconds total, but each question took about 45 seconds or more to load. Painful.
b. The questions asked are predictable, and are being used to discriminate any future response you may provide (also predictable). I believe this discounts the name "Marriott Voice". A real voice, is just a voice. But my voice now has 15 qualifiers attached to it, and I haven't even spoken yet.
c. The "terms" are overhanded, and obviously you have to accept them. I believe the best feedback voice is one without terms attached.
Nice that Marriott is offering this obligatory olive branch - and I hope that my voice will be heard. However, I will view Marriott Voice with my usual healthy skepticism and I don't think any comments will lead to real change.
I got the email even though I’m already accepted into the Marriott Voice, so it was probably a blast Email sent to everybody, so the site was running very sluggishly due to high traffic.
I tried to register without a solicitation a week ago and was turned down because "your demographic is full". Got the email today and made it through the gauntlet and am registered. The site was slow for me but not 45 seconds, more like 15 seconds to respond/refresh. However even with 15 seconds, it still seemed painful.
