New Year - None of my 2017 rollover went to 2018

I know that Marriott is discontinuing rollover for 2018, but my understanding was 2017 rollover nights would still count towards 2018, but that no new rollover nights could be accumulated during 2018.


I had 177 nights in 2017, so naturally, I expected the maximum 75 nights to automatically rollover into 2018.  As of today, I still have 0 rollover nights from my 2017 into the 2018 status.


I don't think this is correct. 


Also, what happens to the nights that accumulate beyond the 75.. are they just lost?  I assume that they count towards the lifetime status still, but nothing else?
