So lets say I book a rate which includes 1000 bonus points per night and book 2 rooms will I get points for both the rooms or just one room??
Based on my experience, you won't get the points at all without calling.
While I can't be 100% certain, I'd say you'd be entitled to the bonus points for both rooms. The T&C, you can earn points for up to 3 rooms, though if I remember correctly elite night credits accrue for only one room.
A Member is eligible to receive Points/Miles for a qualifying stay at participating Marriott brand hotels or Ritz-Carlton hotels for his/her room and up to two additional rooms. At least one of the rooms must be reserved and registered in the Member's name and the Member must pay for all rooms, which payment arrangement must be requested at time of hotel check-in. The Member must also stay in one of the rooms.
If the room rate includes bonus points and you (the Rewards member) pay for all rooms, it appears you should be able to get the bonus points for all rooms. Now as far as something like a MegaBonus is concerned, those terms state that only one room per hotel is counted.
Give it a try and let us know how many calls to customer care it takes to get the bonus points.
Thanks. I have 2 stays coming up which include bonus points but both are single rooms.
In the past on both the occassions I have had to call atleast twice each to get the bonus points.
The 2 rooms I am looking to book is in July of next year. The bonus rate is only 5$ more per night so I was thinking it would be cool to get 4000 bonus points for 40$.
